Seating Capacity Chart with Links to Printable Diagrams
This chart will give you a general idea of how many people you can fit into the various tent sizes, based on what your use of the tent will be. The figures below are based on these assumptions:
1. These capacity numbers assume that there are no health orders in place requiring physical or social distancing. The seating drawings below are not useful if physical/social distancing or other capacity restrictions are required by a health order.
2. For a banquet-style reception using 5’diameter round tables for seating, a minimum of 15 square feet of space is needed per guest.
3. For a banquet-style reception using 8’x30″ rectangular tables, a minimum of 12 square feet per guest is necessary.
4. For a ceremony-only set-up, 8 square feet per person is adequate.
Not all receptions are set-up in the same way and have the same requirements for space. For this reason, we provide diagrams of tents with tables and chairs drawn to scale. These will help to give you a realistic idea of what a given size of tent can and cannot accommodate, so that you can choose a correct size. All diagrams can be accessed through the table below.
